Our static and dynamic arm abduction orthoses immobilize your arm in a sideways angled position called abduction. The healing process is not interrupted.

For treatment of an upper arm fracture, a dislocated shoulder, or rotator cuff complaints, it is necessary for your arm to be immobilized in an angled position called abduction. In these cases, our arm abduction orthosis is the ideal solution for you. Two products are available to fit the desired abduction angle and need for restriction of adduction – the static Arm Abduction Orthosis 28A21 or the Dynamic Arm Abduction Orthosis 28A11. Your arm is reliably supported in the position prescribed by your doctor, helping to prevent potentially damaging movements that would impede healing.
Because the arm position can appear awkward, we took care to ensure that the orthosis was as comofrtable as possible. It is extremely lightweight, to avoid unnecessary stress on your shoulder and neck. In addition, the arm abduction orthosis is easy to clean. Combined with the slim construction, this helps avoid excess heat build-up.
Because the orthosis is designed to be close to the body, another significant advantage is that the orthosis does not restrict your everyday activities any more than necessary. The wide hook-and-loop strap design keeps the orthosis easy to wear and adjust, as well as providing firm support.
