The most important goal of your entire treatment – from the operation to rehabilitation and the fitting of your prosthesis – is to restore your mobility. Together with you, your doctors, therapists, prosthetists and Otto Bock want to give you the highest possible degree of independence and help you maintain or restore the quality of your life. Because even if your life will change in many regards compared to before, in the future you can go back to leading a very active and mobile life. On average, this rehabilitation process takes several months and is affected by various factors, including your level of motivation and a well-fitted prosthesis.

The options which modern prosthetics by Otto Bock offer meet the challenges of everyday life. However, your active participation is the decisive factor for a successful rehabilitation. An optimally fitted Otto Bock prosthesis and your rehabilitation team support you in this process. This team typically includes doctors, therapists, a prosthetist and the nursing staff.

Recommendations with regard to your therapy and rehabilitation are provided below. However, the instructions from your rehabilitation team always take priority since this team is best able to evaluate your individual situation.
