Development Engineering Manager Mechatronics (f/m)

 

Your duties:
You will supervise 7+ engineering staff members, including planning and executing strategic growth plans, performance management, budgets, identifying new technologies, equipment, and personnel needs. You will manage development projects which focus on the integration of electronics and mechatronics into a range of medical devices and work closely with internal international partners to evaluate the application of electronic technology into current development projects. You will provide strong leadership and mentoring of less experienced engineers / technicians to inspire performance in the entire group. You must understand and implement balance between attaining optimum
precision while maintaining lowest cost efficiency in design / development of new products.

 

Your requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Technical Engineering (electrical, mechatronics, robotics); Masters Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 yrs engineering experience (hardware or software) including 5+ yrs product design and development experience; medical device design experience is preferred
  • Minimum 3 yrs demonstrated experience managing other engineers
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively managing product development projects through the complete design cycle incorporating international standards such as ISO 60601, ISO 62304, and ISO 13485; knowledge of FDA requirements is a plus
  • Technical background must include working knowledge of the following: machine to machine communication protocols, boot loaders, and writing controlling software including GUI development in a nonwindows environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written (English)
  • Ability to and willingness to relocate to the United States
