German-Arabic Symposium before the Arab Health Trade Fair

The healthcare trade fair "Arab Health 2012" in Dubai will be preceded by the "2nd German-Arabic Symposium on Trauma Care". This event on 22 and 23 January 2012 brings together doctors, therapists, orthopaedic technicians and manufacturers in order to jointly discuss extended concepts for the care of trauma patients and their reintegration.

First held in 2011, the symposium will once again be personally supported and opened by Jörg Bode, Lower Saxony Minister of the Economy, Labour and Transport. The initiators and organisers are Niedersachsen Global (NGlobal), which has been commissioned for location marketing by the ministry, and the Lower Saxony Innovation Centre together with its partners Ottobock HealthCare GmbH and the Orthopaedic Clinic of Hanover Medical School in the Annastift hospital.

Furthermore, the renowned Hanover Medical School is represented by a large delegation including Professor Dr. Christian Krettek, Professor Dr. Anton Adams, Professor Dr. Marc Ziegenbein, Professor Dr. Stukenborg-Colsman, Dr. Kerstin Radtke, Dr. Christian Zeckey, Dr. Christian Sturm and Dr. Tilman Calliess.

One of the key topics for the symposium is the significance of sports as an integral element of psychological and physiological rehabilitation. Professor Dr. Sigmar Blumentritt from Ottobock HealthCare, an expert in the field of biomechanics, will be speaking specifically on aspects of sports prosthetics. Karl Becker (CPO), Head of the Ottobock Competence Centre in Duderstadt, is going to present the highly modern Genium leg prosthesis system.

The symposium offers a unique opportunity to receive concise first-hand information between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
